*~Restless Ecstasy~*

Intro

I’ve realized that it’s been nearly 2 years since I’ve started blogging (although not much has been added to it), I still don’t have a page “About Me”. So let’s start with an introduction full of cliches now shall we?

I’m Restless~Ecstasy (I started off posting under the name “star light” but changed after I fell in love with Macbeth) I’m in my early 20s and I live in a family full of superheroes (me included); Super Granddad (Seeya- who’s probably in a better place now), the Great “Thaju” a.k.a my grandma (Heck, I still don’t know why I call her thaju since i could speak, I mean Achchi in Sinhalese and Grandma in English have nothing in common with the word “Thaju”), Fantastic Father (Thaththi, the quietest in the family but the most effective) Magnificent Mom (Ammi, a tornado full of love, advice and sometimes annoyance), The young and zappy Sis, and Bunchi (Better known as Lassie the dog)

According to my mother, I am a lazy, care-free child. I am also the most irresponsible eldest daughter anyone can ever have *grins* Additionally, I am ‘too cool’ with my sister and hence set a bad example.

Manex thinks I am “a great friend with great patience”. She wishes that she “could be a great friend to all her friends as I am to her”.

Mana thinks that I have been “a friend, a sister, a supporter and a confidant” and that “the times have been great and the bonds have been strong”.

I completed my high school education at a leading school in Colombo and am now (surprisingly) an undergraduate at the University of Colombo, while also following CIM classes. I occasionally work part-time at the United Nations whenever a position is available. My ambition is to be an environmentalist or a policy maker regarding environment and development. I also want to be a part-time counselor one day..

Gadgets. Photography. Environment. Councelling (unprofessional). Reading. Collecting Stamps. Rainy Days. A great romantic comedy. Music to suit my mood. My phone. My cam. Chilling out with friends. The Beach. Parties. Food, food and more food.

Flaws here and there….

Control Freak. Hyperactive Lunatic. Compulsive shopper. Self-conscious. Nocturnal. (my mother thinks I’m an insomniac) Clumsy. Nerdy. Nonathletic. Scatter-brained. Trust people too easily. Social Phobic. Necrophobic. (loads more to come) hehe

Faith

I grew up in a buddhist family. (still am) I don’t believe in any god… (Anything near to a god would be my parents) I believe in Karma & re-birth and I believe the only way to end this misery is to follow Buddha’s philosophy or his path to freedom.

Tying up the knots.

You can call me a geek, you can call me a social butterfly, heck, you can even call me a freak! I just like to think of myself as “a little bit of everything all rolled into one” and I know that those who love me “wouldn’t want it any other way” *wink*
